All manuscripts submitted to Elektron undergo a rigorous peer-review process conducted by independent external specialists with recognized expertise in the corresponding subject area. The journal guarantees reviewer anonymity (single-blind review) to ensure the impartiality of the verdict.

Evaluation Criteria

Reviewers assess the submissions based on a standardized form, focusing their arbitration on the following pillars:

  1. Clarity and Structure: Ensuring that objectives, theoretical framework, methodology, and results are described precisely and are comprehensible to researchers in the field or related disciplines.

  2. Scientific Rigor: Evaluating technical validity and the absence of critical deficiencies that could compromise the integrity of the study or its conclusions.

Review Recommendations

Following the analysis, reviewers will issue a recommendation based on the following categories:

  • Accept without changes: The article meets all standards and requires no corrections.

  • Minor revisions: Superficial errors (typographical, grammatical, or formatting) are identified that do not affect the core of the research.

  • Major revisions required: The manuscript requires substantial adjustments before being reconsidered for publication.

  • Not publishable (Rejection): Applied in cases of plagiarism, critical ambiguity in presentation, lack of clarity in methodology/results, fundamental technical errors, or a manifest absence of original contributions.

Editorial Decision

The assigned editor is responsible for exhaustively analyzing the received reviews and, based on the quality and depth of the peer technical arguments, issuing the final decision regarding the publication of the article. In cases of controversy or discrepant reviews, the Editorial Board will determine the steps to resolve the dispute. The definitive decision on the acceptance of a document rests exclusively with the editors, who consistently ensure the scientific quality of the journal.
