Editorial Process

Elektron's editorial process consists of the following key stages to ensure scientific excellence:

  1. Submission and Preliminary Screening: Upon receiving a manuscript, the editorial team conducts a preliminary technical assessment to verify adherence to formatting guidelines, the journal’s scope, and minimum quality and originality standards.

  2. Peer Review: Articles that pass the screening are sent to at least two external expert reviewers (single-blind peer review). Reviewers issue a verdict based on technical rigor, originality, and clarity.

  3. Editorial Decision: The assigned editor analyzes the reviewers' reports and reaches a decision: Accept without changes, Minor revisions, Major revisions, or Reject.

  4. Revision and Resubmission: If modifications are required, authors must submit a corrected version along with a letter detailing the changes made.

  5. Editing and Production: Once accepted, the article undergoes copyediting, layout design, and assignment of identifiers (such as DOI). Finally, it is published in the respective issue or in the "in press" section.
