This work describes a low-cost solution based on an ad hoc data acquisition system, for monitoring the balance of the equine hoof during locomotion. The hardware integrated an MPU6050 sensor, an ESP32 processor, an SD card reading module and a battery with its charging module. Also, a website was developed for interaction with the system and a solution for data analysis and representation in open environments is presented. After implementation, the results demonstrated that the system is efficient in providing a real-time data record of gait mechanics, in the same way as that obtained with more sophisticated devices.Downloads
